European Atomic Energy Community
Refers to the international organization, established in 1957 by the Euratom Treaty, to create a nuclear power market and distribution system for its members. It conducts research in, creates infrastructure and safety standards for, and secures funding for peaceful uses of nuclear energy. It has been subsumed by the European Union.
