International Criminal Court

International Criminal Court
An independent, permanent court which tries persons accused of the most serious crimes of international concern, namely genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. Not to be confused with the International Criminal Tribunal (for Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia) and the International Court of Justice of the United Nations, which deals primarily with disputes between States.
