and performance of structures. Includes the development of
structural math models for and comprehensive assessment of
air, space and ground structures, the analysis of the
models to determine structural response to multiple
external and internal environmental conditions, and
analysis of flight and test data for structural systems.
Includes broad knowledge of structures disciplines
including structural dynamics, structural mechanics,
structural acoustics, mechanisms, electro-mechanical
devices, aeroelasticity, impact, damage tolerance and
structural life prediction. Also involves research into
measurement, instrument and test systems to assess
structural characteristics and risks, and ensure system
integration.
