retro-cue effect

retro-cue effect
Effect observed when a cue, directing the subject's attention to an item available in visual short-term memory, is presented during the retention interval. Compared to the absence of cue or the presence of a non-informative cue, the retro-cue improves recognition of items (faster and more accurate responses).
