Hypothèse selon laquelle la rétention d'informations dépendrait du temps total alloué pour les étudier. Par exemple, le rappel de cinq items étudiés pendant 2 secondes chacun devrait être équivalent au rappel de dix items étudiés chacun pendant 1 seconde.
