Prison Relocation Commission
The Prison Relocation Commission (PRC) was created by the Utah Legislature to carefully and deliberately consider, study, and evaluate how and where to move the Utah State Prison from its current location in Draper, Utah. Seven lawmakers make up the Commission.

As of January 2015, the Commission has been focusing on three sites: near the airport near I-80 and 7200 West on land owned by Rio Tinto in Salt Lake County, in Utah County, and in Tooele County near the Larry Miller Motorsports Park with local officials in each of those areas opposing the prison move. Other locations to be investigated by the Commmission include on or two locations near Five Mile Pass in Tooele County.
