Houses the official records of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. It has launched a project,
Congress Creates the Bill of Rights that comprises three elements: a mobile app for tablets, an eBook and online resources for teachers and students. Each provides a distinct way of exploring how the First Congress proposed amendments to the Constitution in 1789. The Center for Legislative Archives began contributing to the National Archives’ social media projects in September 2011. At the suggestion of the Archivist of the United States, the Center started its own microblog on Tumblr called Congress in the Archives. The Center has also contributed to the National Archives’ Flickr page, adding its own collection of images of House and Senate records on topics ranging from the Missouri Compromise to the Gulf of Tonkin
Resolution.
