The Utah BLM is committed to fully informing and involving the public in decisions regarding the use of public lands. The Environmental Notification Bulletin Board (ENBB) is a searchable list of proposals under consideration by the Utah Bureau of Land Management (BLM) that provides a brief description of proposed actions and identifies potentially affected or involved resources or values that are of interest to the public.
The Bureau of Land Management manages two National Monuments in Utah - Bears Ears National Monument and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. President Obama designated Bears Ears National Monument on December 28th, 2016. The Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument was the first national monument to be managed by the BLM and also the first area to be designated as part of the National Conservation Lands.
The BLM in Utah manages nearly 8,000 miles of roads and over 2,000 miles of trails. This network of roads and trails is an integral part of Utah's infrastructure, providing access for recreation, commercial activities, and administrative operations - such as wildfire management and conservation efforts. The far-reaching benefits stemming from BLM Utah lands include resource harvesting and energy production as well as recreational opportunities, including scenic driving, camping, biking, hunting, and fishing.
